I’ve been using Sam Harris Waking Up app for 100 days. Here’re my thoughts.

At the time I’m publishing this article, I’ve been meditating 100 days in a row. I have been paying attention to my breathing, the sounds around me, and my visual field for 26 hours and 33 minutes. All of this thanks to Sam Harris’ Waking Up app. In this article, I want to share my own experience and to tell you why I think everyone should meditate, even you.

Tl;dr: is Sam Harris’ app worth it? YES. Here’s why:

Mindfulness is everywhere, you just don’t pay attention to it.

To tell you a bit more about me, I’m a French girl, living in Ireland for the last 5 years. For years, I thought that meditation was a hippie thing. I didn’t really see the point of sitting in silence doing nothing for 10, 20, or 60 minutes. It felt like a waste of time.

However, as a child, I remember laying on the grass and looking at clouds for hours. I remember reading books and being so focused that the universe around me would disappear. Those were mindfulness experience and I didn’t even know it!

I started to give “proper” meditation a try at the end of 2017, after a bad breakup and a disastrous dating experience (dating after a long-term relationship is hard, trust me on that). I knew I had to focus…
